Manage SAP Systems
The SAP Systems page is as shown in the following screenshot.
SAP System displays the following details in tabular form.

Max. SAP Logon Sessions |
Displays the total no. of SAP Logon Sessions that were defined in SAP level. |

This column displays the location, where these Thread settings are applied/defined. |
Max Parallel Threads |
Displays the total no. of Threads that can be run simultaneously. |
Delay Between Calls Settings |
This column displays the location, where these Delay Between Calls Settings are applied/defined. |
Delay Between Calls |
Displays time interval between two calls. This value is defined at Process/SAP System level. |
Edit |
This option is used to edit listed User setting. |
Delete |
This option is used to delete particular user. |
What is System ID
The system ID indicates unique identification number of your system landscape.
Add SAP System
Use the Add option to add new SAP System to the list. Also, select the specific option for this SAP System, Allow or Block.
Basic Details
- System ID: Enter the system name to add new system.
- Access Type: Select the access type as allow/block.
Settings
- Permitted Action Settings: This option is used to define SAP system access permissions. You can define settings by two different methods:
- Allow all Actions: This option is used to assign full access rights for particular SAP system.
- Settings as per below: This option is used to define various access rights such as Run or Record.
Other Settings:
- Auto assign all processes to this SAP system: Select this option to automatically assign all the defined processes in Innowera Control Panel to the SAP System. The users can execute these processes in this SAP system. By selecting this option you do not require to assign the processes manually to this SAP system. Note that the users should be authorized to use the processes which are assigned to the new SAP system .
- Allow all other processes that are not defined in Innowera Control Panel: Select this option to assign all other processes to SAP system which are not defined in Innowera Control Panel. User can execute any process in this SAP system. Please note that the users should be authorized to use the processes.
- SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID when logging into SAP: Enable this option if you want to restrict user to execute process using SAPuserID other than its Windows userID for this SAP system.Enabling this option, the SAPuserID and Windows userID should always match otherwise user will not able to login to SAP. - Allow Remote Function Modules (RFCs): This option is used to allow access to BAPI/RFC process in Process Runner. Enabling this option will allow user to work with BAPI as well as non-BAPI function modules (will allow RFCs or RFMs) on this SAP System. Select here to know more on this.
Enable Call Setting:
- Allow any number of calls: This option when enabled, allows any number SAP calls to be executed for this SAP system. It will ignore settings done at User/Process level and user can execute any number of calls.
- Count Max Allowed calls separately for this system: When this option is enabled, maximum count of SAP calls is accounted separately for this system. Select here to know more on this.
Technology Settings:
- Allow Transaction: This option when enabled allows SAP system to execute Transaction technology.
- Allow BAPI: This option when enabled allows SAP system to execute BAPI/RFM technology.
- Allow GUI Script: This option when enabled allows SAP system to execute GUI Scripting technology.
- Allow Data Extractor: This option when enabled allows SAP system to execute Data Extractor technology.
- Control Settings (Global Level)
- Group/User level
- SAP System Level
Note: To work with any technology, ensure that the setting for that technology is enabled at all levels.
If setting is restricted or disabled at any level, user will not be allowed to execute process files of that technology. Select here to know more on this.
Even when Allow BAPI/RFM is allowed at all levels, users will be able to work with RFM based on Allow Remote Function Module (RFCs) settings done at User Groups/Users and SAP Systems. BAPI is allowed to user all time.
Maximum number of SAP logon sessions allowed at any time: This option is used to define total instance of this SAP System to be run simultaneously. The parallel threads are counted as those many SAP sessions. If there is one instance of Process Runner with three parallel processing threads, it is counted as three SAP sessions as far as Innowera setting is concerned.
- Settings as per Process:Select this option to consider settings defined in process level.
- Settings as set below: Select this option to change the number of parallel threads allowed per process. Select hereto know more on this.
Delay between calls:This will force each system call to have minimum delay/latency added by Process Runner between calls to SAP. Value of zero indicate no delay. If higher value is specified in system file, that higher delay value will be effective.
- Settings as per Process: Select this option to consider setting defined in process level.
- Setting as set below: Select this option to insert time interval between two calls at SAP System level. Select here to know more on this.
SAP Client setting:This option allows to specify the SAP client that will be able to login to SAP.
- All SAP Client:Checking this radio button will allow all SAP clients to login to SAP system.
- List of SAP Clients:Checking this radio button will allow user to use only the SAP Clients listed in the List of SAP Clients option. You can add multiple SAP Clients separated by comma in this list.
Example for SAP Client Settings
Let us assume that SAP system DM0 is defined and SAP Client setting is set as Setting as below. The value entered in List of SAP Clients is 000.
When user uses Process Runner to record or run any process (TX, BA, DE, and GUI) in SAP system 'DM0' and enters SAP Client other than 000 , error will be displayed. User will not be allowed login to SAP system.
Edit SAP System
Select the Editicon to edit the specific SAP system in the list.
Admin Info
- Created By:Displays the name of the user who created the SAP system.
- Created On: Displays the date and time when the SAP system was created. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
- Changed By: Displays the name of the user who updated the SAP system.
- Changed On: Displays the date and time when the SAP system was last updated. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
While editing an SAP System, if you navigate to another page without saving or canceling the changes, the SAP System gets locked. This prevents other Innowera Control Panel site users from editing the SAP System at the same time. To unlock an SAP System, select the lock icon associated with the SAP System, and then select OK.
Note: The admin user can unlock any SAP system.
When you sign out from the Innowera Control Panel web application, a message appears prompting you to release all locked SAP Systems. Also, the locked SAP Systems are released when the Innowera Control Panel session times out.
Delete SAP System
Select the Delete icon to delete the specific SAP system from the SAP system list.
