SAP Call Settings in Master Control
SAP Calls Setting option is available in User Groups, Users and Processes. This option controls the maximum number of SAP Calls allowed to run in Process Runner.
In the following examples, let us take Group Name = Other, User Name = Testuser and Process = MM02. 'Testuser' belongs to group Other and is assigned the process.
Case 1: SAP Call Settings as per Group
SAP Calls Setting applied at following levels are:
Group level
- User Level= Settings as per group
- Process level= Settings as per User/Group
- Process Runner = 10
SAP System (Enable Call Settings) = Unchecked
Open Process Runner, and then run the process file.
Note: If value in Process Runner is set less than Group level then the number of SAP calls will run as per the Process Runner SAP call setting.
Case 2: SAP Call Settings as per User
SAP Call Settings applied at following levels:
- Group level = 5
- User Level = 7
- Process level = Settings as per User/Group
- Process Runner = 20
- SAP System (Enable Call Settings) = Unchecked
SAP Calls setting defined at User level will be considered.
Open Process Runner, and then run the process file.
Note: If value in Process Runner is less than user level, then the number of SAP calls will run as per the Process Runner SAP call setting.
Case 3: SAP Call Settings as per Process
SAP Call Settings applied at following levels:
- Group level = 5
- User Level = 7
- Process level = 9
- Process Runner = 20
SAP System (Enable Call Settings) = Unchecked
SAP Calls setting defined at Process level will be considered.
Open Process Runner, and then run the process file.
Note: If value in Process Runner is set less than process level, then the number of SAP calls will run as per the Process Runner SAP call setting.
Case 4: SAP Call Settings as per Process Runner
SAP Calls Setting applied at following levels:
- Group level = 5
- User Level = 7
- Process level = 9
- Process Runner = 6
SAP System (Enable Call Settings) = Unchecked
SAP Calls setting defined at Process Runner level will be considered.
Open Process Runner, set the End row value, and then run the process file.
Case 5: Any number of SAP Call for defined system
SAP call settings applied at the following levels are:
- Group level = 5
- User Level= Settings as per group
- Process level = Settings as per User/Group
- Process Runner = 50
SAP System (Enable Call Settings)= checked to allow Any Number of Calls
Open Process Runner, and then run the process file.
Note: Note: If value in Process Runner is set less than Group level, then the number of SAP calls will run as per the Process Runner SAP call setting.
Case 6: Count Max SAP Calls Separately for defined system
SAP Call Settings applied at following levels are:
- Group level = 5
- User Level = Settings as per group
- Process level = Settings as per User/Group
- Process Runner = 50
- SAP System (Enable Call Settings) = checked Count max allowed calls separately for this System
Note: If Count Max Allowed Calls Separately for this system is selected as 5 SAP calls for a defined system, then 5 SAP calls will be executed separately from that defined system.
Open Process Runner, and then run the process file.
Note: If value in Process Runner is set less than Group level then the number of SAP calls will run as per the Process Runner SAP call setting. Now, if the user runs Process MM02 in other SAP System, then it will allow that user to execute as settings are set to be counted separately. But if user execute the process MM02 with SAP system DM0 then it will not allow to execute as user has already completed allowed number of SAP calls for that particular SAP System DM0 for configured time period. Once configured time period is over then user will be allowed to execute MM02 with SAP System DM0.
