Manage Users

User data is the section in which administrator maintain all the details related to users of Process Runner.

User_N

The following table explains the user details:

Option Description

User Name

Displays the listed Users in this column.

Access Type

This option shows access permission (allow/block) relatively.

Group

Displays all defined Group names related to respective users.

Session Setting

Indicates the level (Group/User) we have considered Session Setting.

Maximum Sessions

Displays the total no. of allocated Sessions that were defined in level (Group/User).

SAP Call Settings

Indicates the level (Group/User) considered for SAP call Setting.

Maximum SAP Calls

Displays the total no. of SAP calls to be download/upload that were defined in level (Group/User).

RFC Setting

Describes that from which level (Group/User) we have considered RFC Setting.

RFC

This option shows the access permission (allow/block) relatively.

Edit

This option is used to edit listed User setting.

Technology Settings

This option describes that from which level (Group/User) technology settings will be considered.

Transaction

This option shows the access permission for transaction technology (allow/block) relatively.

BAPI

This option shows the access permission for BAPI/RFM technology (allow/block) relatively.

GUI Script

This option shows the access permission for GUI Script technology (allow/block) relatively.

Data Extractor

This option will show the access permission for Data Extractor technology (allow/block) relatively.

Edit

This option is used to edit listed User setting.

Delete

This option is used to delete listed user.

Add User

This option enables you to add users to Innowera Control Panel. You can add single user or multiple users in an instance.

To add single user,

  1. Select Add. The Add User page appears.
  2. On the Add User page, enter the following details:
    1. Basic Details
      • Username: Enter a user name to add new user.
      • Validate UserId: Select Validate_User_Id to validate if the user name entered exists in the current Active Directory domain service or not. Note that this feature will work when Innowera Control Panel is installed in Active Directory domain and Windows Authentication is enabled.
      • Group Name: Select the group name from the drop-down. Group name Other is a default group name. If any user is not allocated to any group then by default that user will be listed in Other group.
      • Access Type: Select the access type as Allow or Block. If the access type is set as Allow, then that user can access Process Runner and is counted as a licensed user. If the access type selected is Block, then the user is not allowed to access Process Runner and such as a user is not treated as licensed user. Note that the total number of active users that can be added cannot exceed the number of licensed users allowed to access Innowera Control Panel through this license. The number of active users count can be viewed in the About page. User count is checked at the time of login. If the number of licensed users allowed by the license is less than the current active users, then some of the active users will be inactive.
    2. Settings
      • Auto assign all allowed processes to this user: Select this option to assign all the defined processes to new user. By selecting this option you do not require to assign the processes manually to this user.
      • Allow all other processes that are not defined in Innowera Control Panel: Select this option to assign all other processes to new user which are not defined in Innowera Control Panel. This option has no relation to Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel option provided for Other Processes in Options page. So it will not affect the behavior of this option on changing value of Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel.
      • Auto assign all allowed systems to this user: Select this option to assign all the defined SAP systems to new user. By selecting this option all the systems will be assigned to new user by default and this user will not be listed in 'Assign SAP systems' module.
      • Allow all other SAP System that are not defined in Innowera Control Panel: Select this option to assign all the other SAP systems to new user which are not defined in Innowera Control Panell. This option has no relation to Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel option provided for Other SAP Systems in Options page. So it will not affect the behaviour of this option on changing value of Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel. Select here to know more on this.
    3. Technology Setting
      • As per Group: Select this option to consider technology settings defined in group level. For example, when we are adding user John in group Support Team, if we select As per group option, then technology settings for Transaction, BAPI/RFM, GUI Script and Data Extractor defined in Group level will be considered.
      • As per Below: Select this option to set technology settings as per user.
      • Note: To work with any technology, ensure that the setting for that technology is enabled at all levels.

        • Control Settings (Global Level)
        • Group/User level
        • SAP System Level

        If setting is restricted or disabled at any level, the user will not be allowed to execute process files of that technology. Select here to know more on this.

        Even when Allow BAPI/RFM is allowed at all levels, users will be able to work with RFM based on Allow Remote Function Module (RFCs) settings done at User Groups/Users and SAP Systems. BAPI is allowed to user all time.

    4. Session Setting
      • Sessions as per Group: Select this option to consider settings defined in Group level. For example, when we are adding user John in group Support Team, if we select Session as per group option, then number of sessions defined in Group level will be considered.
      • Sessions as set Below: Select this option to insert total number of sessions to be accessed by this user at User level. For maximum number of Sessions, please insert a default value 0. Select here to know more on this.
    5. SAP Call Setting
      • SAP Call as per Group: Select this option to consider setting defined in Group level. For example, when we are adding user John in group Support Team, if we select SAP calls as per group option, then number of SAP calls defined in Group level will be considered.

      • SAP Call as set Below: Select this option to insert total number of SAP calls to be download or upload by this user at any time. For maximum available SAP calls, insert a default value 0.
      • Time settings for two sets of maximum SAP Calls: This option is available only when the maximum number of SAP calls are other then zero (0). using this you can select the time duration between two runs. Select here to know more on this.
    6. RFC Setting
      • Setting as per Group: Select this option to consider settings defined in Group level.
      • Setting as per below: Select this option to set the RFC settings as per user. Select here to know more on this.
      • SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID Enabling this option the SAPuserID and Windows userID should always match otherwise user will not able to login to SAP.
      • Setting as per SAP System: Settings made at SAP system level will be applicable. Select here to know more on this.
      • Settings as per below:
        • Any SAPuserID: Selecting this option will allow all the SAPuserID's. User can log into SAP by using any SAPuserID.
        • Enlist allowed SAPuserID: Selecting this option will allow user to use only the SAPuserID listed in the List of allowed SAPuserID option. You can add multiple SAPuserID seperated by comma in the list of allowed SAPuserID option.
    7. Data Extractor Settings
    • As per Group: Select this option to consider settings defined in Group level.
    • As per below: Select this option to configure Data Extractor Settings for corresponding Users. These settings will over-ride the settings done at Group level for current defined user.
    • Allow maximum number of records to extract: Set the maximum limit for number of records that are to be allowed to extract from SAP for corresponding User.
    • Allow maximum number of block size to extract records: Set the maximum limit for number of block size allowed to extract records for corresponding User.
    • Do not allow join table: Activate this check-box if the corresponding User is not to be allowed for 'Join Table' functionality of Process Runner.
  3. Select Save.

Add Multiple Users

This section explains how to add multiple users and user groups of your Windows domain to Innowera Control Panel.

To add multiple users,

  1. Select Add Multiple User. The Add Domain User page appears. The User License Details section displays the license information that includes the total number of licenses available, number of licenses in use, and number of remaining licenses.

  2. Enter domain name in the Domain box.
  3. Note: The domain name is displayed automatically if the authentication mode is set to Windows Authentication.

  4. In the Search In box, select User and then select Search. The list of users in your domain appears. If you select Group, enter the name of the user group in the box beside the drop-down list box, and then select Search. The list of users in the selected user group appears.

    Note: Alternatively, select the Get Group List icon and select a group in the Select Group dialog box.

  5. Optionally, select Include Domain Name with User Name. The domain name also appears with the user name in the search results.
  6. Select multiple users or user groups, and select Add. A message appears indicating that the users have been added, and their active or inactive status information is also displayed.

Edit User

This option is used to edit the user details. Select the edit icon to edit the user detail.

Basic Details

  • Username: You can edit the existing username.
  • Group Name: You can edit the group name from the drop down box.
  • Access Type: You can edit the access type as allow or block.

Admin Info

  • Created By: Displays the name of the user who created the user.
  • Created On: Displays the date and time when the user was created. Note time displayed is as per user time zone setting.
  • Changed By: Displays the name of the user who updated the user record.
  • Changed On: Displays the date and time when the user was last updated. Note time displayed is as per user time zone setting.
  • Last User Connected: Displays the date and time when the user was last connected. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
  • Last Central Settings Refreshed: Displays the date and time when the central settings were last refreshed.

While editing a user, if you navigate to another page without saving or canceling the changes, the user gets locked. This prevents other Innowera Control Panel site users from editing the user at the same time. To unlock a user, select the lock icon associated with the user, and then select OK.

Note: The admin user can unlock any user.

When you sign out from the Innowera Control Panel web application, a message appears prompting you to release all locked users. Also, the locked users are released when the Innowera Control Panel session times out.

Delete User

This option is used to delete the specific user from the list. Select the delete icon to delete specific user from the list.

A message appears to confirm Delete operation. Select OK.

Copy User

For using this feature, go to Master Control > Users. This feature is used to add new user with same attributes from existing User.

New user will carry this attribute as defined for that Group.

Maximum number of SAP calls allocated to existing User will be copied to New User.

Time settings for two sets of max SAP calls

Time settings for two sets of max SAP calls allocated to existing user will be copied to new user.

RFC Setting

RFC setting allocated to existing user will be copied to new user.

Technology Settings

Technology setting allocated to existing user will be copied to new user.

Master Controls

Allow/Block

If existing User is blocked then New User will also be blocked by default.

Auto assign all processes /all SAP systems to this user

If existing User has chosen these settings then New User will also consider the same and vice versa.

Allow all other processes/SAP systems that are not defined in Innowera Control Panel

If existing User has chosen these settings then New User will also consider the same and vice versa.

Sessions Setting

If existing User has chosen Sessions Settings from Group level, then New User will also consider the same and vice versa.

SAP Calls Setting

If existing User has chosen SAP call Settings from Group level, then New User will also consider the same and vice versa.

RFC Setting

If existing User has chosen RFC  Settings from Group level, then New User will also consider the same and vice versa.

Technology Settings

If existing User has chosen Technology Settings from Group level, then New User will also consider the same and vice versa.

SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID

If existing User has chosen settings; from SAP System, then New User will also consider the same and vice versa

How to check multiple schedules assigned to user

Select the multiple schedule icon in the scheduler column to check the details of assigned schedules.

Selecting on multiple schedule icon will display a pop-up windows with details of schedules assigned to that Users.
