Manage User Groups
User Groups allow to categorize users by the type of access they will need to effectively use the Process Runner. Group name Other is a default group name. If any user is not allocated to any group, that user will be listed in Other group. Other group name cannot be changed, but settings of the other group can be changed.
Add Group
Basic Details:
- Group Name: Indicates the group name to add new group to the existing list.
- Access Type: Indicates the access type.If you select access type as "Allow" that user can access Process Runner and if access type is " Block" that user can not access Process Runner.
Other Settings:
- Allow Remote Function Modules (RFCs): Indicates that access to BAPI/RFM process in Process Runner must be allowed. If this option is enabled, then user will be able to access all BAPI starting with any other name. Select here to know more on this.
- Maximum number of sessions at any time per user:Indicates the maximum number of sessions per user of Process Runner used by this group of users at a time. By default it will take zero as number of sessions which means any number of sessions can be run at a time. You can change the maximum number of "Session" at any per user by using the edit option. Technology Settings:
- Allow Transaction : Indicates that when enabled, user who belongs to the group can run Transaction technology.
- Allow BAPI/RFM: Indicates that when enabled, user who belongs to the group can run BAPI/RFM technology.
- Allow GUI Script: Indicates that when enabled, user who belongs to the group can run GUI Scripting technology.
- Allow Data Extractor: Indicates that when enabled, user who belongs to the group can run Data Extractor technology.

Note: To work with any technology, ensure that the setting for that technology is enabled at all levels.
If setting is restricted or disabled at any level, user will not be allowed to execute process files of that technology. Select here to know more on this.
Even when Allow BAPI/RFM is allowed at all levels, users will be able to work with RFM based on Allow Remote Function Module (RFCs) settings done at User Groups/Users and SAP Systems. BAPI is allowed to user all time.
Maximum number of SAP Calls at any time per user: It defines the maximum number of SAP calls per user to run in Process Runner by this group of users. By default it will take zero as number of SAP calls which means any number of SAP calls can be run at a time. Select here to know more on this.
Time settings for two sets of maximum SAP calls: Using this you can select the time duration between two runs. This option is applicable only when the maximum number of SAP calls are other than zero (0). Select here to know more on this.
Data Extractor Settings:
- Allow maximum number of records to extract: Set the maximum limit for number of records that are to be allowed to extract from SAP for corresponding User Group.
- Allow maximum number of block size to extract records: Set the maximum limit for number of block size allowed to extract records for corresponding User Group.
- Do not allow join table: Activate this check-box if the corresponding User Group is not to be allowed for 'Join Table' functionality of Process Runner.
Edit Existing Group
Basic Details
- Group Name: Indicates the group name that can be edited.
- Access Type: Indicates the access type of the group.
Settings
- Maximum number of sessions at any time per user: You can change the maximum number of at any per user by edit option.
- Maximum number of SAP Calls at any time per user: You can change the maximum number of SAP calls at any time per user by edit option.
- Time Settings for two sets of Max SAP calls: You can change the time settings for two sets of maximum SAP calls execution by edit option.
- Technology Settings: You can change the technology to be allowed to users of the group by edit option.
Admin Info
- Created By: Displays the name of the user who created the group.
- Created On: Displays the date and time when the group was created. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
- Changed By: Displays the name of the user who updated the group.
- Changed On: Displays the date and time when the group was last updated. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
- Last Group Connected: Displays the date and time when the group was last connected. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
- Last Central Settings Refreshed: Displays the date and time when the central settings were last refreshed.
While editing a user group, if you navigate to another page without saving or canceling the changes, the user group gets locked. This prevents other Innowera Control Panel site users from editing the user group at the same time. To unlock a user group, select the lock icon associated with the user group, and then select OK.
Note: The admin user can unlock any user group.
When you sign out from the Innowera Control Panel web application, a message appears prompting you to release all locked user groups. Also, the locked user groups are released when the Innowera Control Panel session times out.
Delete Existing Groups
This option is used to delete the specific group from the list. Select Delete icon to delete specific group.
How to check multiple schedules assigned to User's Group
Select the multiple schedule icon in the scheduler column to check the details of assigned schedules.
Select multiple schedule icon will display a pop-up window with details of schedules assigned to that User Group.
