Manage Processes
The Processes page is as shown in the following screenshot.
Processes display the following information.
| Options | Description |

| Process Description | All listed Processes will be displayed in this column. |
| Process Id | This column will display the actual Process code. |
| Access Type | This option will show access permission (allow/block) relatively. |
| Delay Between Calls | Set time interval between two calls. This value is defined at Process level only. |
| SAP Call Settings | This option describes that from which level (Group/User) we have considered SAP call Settings. |
| Max.Parallel Thread | This field displays the total number of threads to be used simultaneously. |
| Maximum SAP calls | Set the total no. of SAP Calls to be download/upload that were defined in level (Group/User). |
| Permitted Actions | This field displays the access right of particular processes for all Users. |
| Edit | This option is used to edit listed process setting. |
| Delete | This option is used to delete process. |
Add Process
Add option is used to add new process to the existing list of processes. Also, select the specific option, Allow or Block, for this process.
Basic Details
- Process Description: Indicates the short description of the new process to be added.
- Process ID: Indicates the actual Transaction ID of the process. For example, MM02 or FB50/ In the case of Join Condition, use comma (,) between tables. For example, MARA,MAKT. Same Process can be defined twice or more with different Execution Rights. You can differentiate these same processes by assigning different process name. Same Process cannot be defined twice or more with same Execution Rights.
- Access Type: Indicates the access type. If you select access type as Allow, that process is accessible in Process Runner, and if access type is Block, that process is not accessible in Process Runner.
Settings
Permitted Actions: This field is used to restrict access to particular process for all users.
- Design: The term Designer means a user can create defined process (Transactions, Business API's, GUI Scripted transactions, Table and Table join data extraction), change the process recording and run a process without any restrictions in Process Runner. For example, if a process (MM02) is assigned Execution Right Designer, then particular user will be able to create, modify and execute process (MM02).
- Run:Run Only option is used to restrict creating a defined process (Transactions, Business APIs, GUI Scripted transactions, Table and Table join data extraction) in Process Runner. However particular users can successfully change and execute this process and upload or download data to SAP. For example, if a process (MM03) is assigned Execution Right Run Only, then particular user will be able to change and run process (MM02).
- Test Run Only: This option is used to restrict creating, editing and executing a process (Transactions, Business APIs, GUI scripted transactions, Table and Table join data extraction) in Process Runner. Using this option, the user can test the data to be manipulated. You will not be able upload data to SAP but you can diagnose data & obtain appropriate message. For example, if a process (MM02) is assigned Execution Right Test Run Only, then the user will be able execute process (MM02) in Test Run mode only, which results error message if found.
- Error Processing Run Only: This option is used to execute process which contain errors in the data. When a particular user is assigned a Process with Error Processing Run Only Execution Right, then that user will only be able to run Errors already present in data of that Process.
- Delay between two calls is: This option is used to maintain time interval between two calls. Here calls is meant for downloading or uploading records. This will force each process call to have minimum delay/latency added by Process Runner between calls to SAP. Default value 0 defines no delay between two calls. If higher value is specified in process file, that higher delay value will be effective. Select here to know more on this.
- Max Parallel Thread: This option is used to define total number of threads to be used simultaneously. The parallel threads are counted as those many SAP sessions. If there is one instance of Process Runner with 3 parallel processing threads, it is counted as 3 SAP session as far as Control Panel setting is concerned. Select here to know more on this.
SAP Call Settings
- SAP call as per User/Group: Select this option to consider setting defined in User/Group level.
- SAP call as per Below: Select this option to insert total number of SAP calls to be download/upload by this new process. in case of SAP calls set by user, user can also set the time settings for the two sets of maximum SAP calls execution. Select here to know more on this.
Data Extractor Settings
-
Records to Extract Setting:
- As per User/Group: Select this option to consider settings defined in User/Group level.
- As per below: Select this option to configure Data Extractor Settings for corresponding process separately. These settings will over-ride the settings done at User/Group level for current defined process.
- Allow maximum number of records to extract: Set the maximum limit for number of records that are to be allowed to extract from SAP for corresponding process.
- Allow maximum number of block size to extract records: Set the maximum limit for number of block size allowed to extract records for corresponding process.
Edit Process
Select the Edit icon to edit the specific process in the list.
Admin Info
- Created By: Displays the name of the user who created the process.
- Created On: Displays the date and time when the process was created. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
- Changed By: Displays the name of the user who updated the process record.
- Changed On: Displays the date and time when the process was last updated. The time displayed is as per user time zone settings.
While editing a process, if you navigate to another page without saving or canceling the changes, the process gets locked. This prevents other Innowera Control Panel site users from editing the process at the same time. To unlock a process, select the lock icon associated with the process, and then select OK.
Note: The admin user can unlock any process.
When you sign out from the Innowera Control Panel web application, a message appears prompting you to release all locked processes. Also, the locked processes are released when the Innowera Control Panel session times out.
Delete Process
Select the Delete icon to delete specific group. This option is used to delete the specific process from the list.
