Configure Options

The Options page under Admin Settings enables an Innowera Control Panel administrator to configure various settings, such as the number of sessions, SAP Calls, system log, and inactive Innowera Control Panel users. This page consists of the following settings:

Note: Restore Default Settings allows you to go back to the default options of a setting.

Other General Settings

The Other General Settings section consists of the following settings:

Other Settings

Other Settings consists of options for Process Runner, Process Runner DB, and Innowera Control Panel logs, cache, and access right configuration for SAP systems and Processes in Process Runner and Process Runner DB.

To configure the options in Other Settings

  1. Select the following options as per your requirement:
    • Enable Product log: Indicates that Innowera Control Panel will record the activities of the other Innowera product instances that are configured in your Innowera Control Panel instance.
    • Enable Innowera Control Panel Log: Indicates that the activities of your Innowera Control Panel will be recorded.
    • Enable cache for all users: Indicates that the average time to access your Innowera Control Panel instance can be reduced by storing cache in your local computer. For more details of Cache feature, see Enable or Clear Cache.
    • Block "Check Access Right" for generic users: Indicates that the Process Runner and Process Runner DB users will have to sign in to the Innowera Control Panel instance to check the status of the SAP system or Process file access request.
    • ACS Length: Indicates that length of the "where" condition of the query allowed by the underlying SAP databases. By default, the length of Automatic Condition Splitter (ACS) is 38000. ACS splits the "where" condition if the length of the resultant "where" condition is more than that allowed by the SAP database.
    • Display data creation logs in master page: Indicates that you can view the data creation information in the Created By, Created On, Changed By, and Changed On columns, on the following master pages:
      • Master Controls: User groups, Users, Processes, SAP System, and Schedules.
      • Data Governance: Database Connections, Queries, and Rules.
      • Admin Setting: Role Maintenance, Manage Site Users, and Message Configuration.
      • Advanced Tools: Centralized Messaging System.

      Also, in the Assigned Controls pages, the Assigned By and Assigned On columns are displayed for all the assigned users, user groups, processes, SAP systems, and schedules. The time will be displayed in Innowera Control Panel as per the time zone set by the user.Assigned-Example

  2. If you want to view the access rights of a particular user for a technology, process, or SAP system, select Check Access Right. If you want to view the access rights of a particular user for a technology, process, or SAP system, click the link in the URL for the Check Access Right page (http://<<URLOfInnoweraControlPanelApplicationt>/InnoweraControlPanel/CheckAccessRight.aspx). The Check Access Right page appears. Alternatively, in the left panel, you can go to Check Authorization > Check Access Rights.
  3. To share the Check Access Rights page link with other users who want to check the access rights, copy the Check Access Right link, and share it with them. Depending upon whether the Block "Check Access Right" for generic users has been selected, one of the following scenarios occur when the user opens the Check Access Rights page using the shared link.
    • If the Block "Check Access Right" for generic users option was selected, the user has to sign in to the Innowera Control Panel instance to view the Check Access Right page and also the other sections of the web application.

    • If the Block "Check Access Right" for generic users option was not selected, the user can directly access the Check Access Rights page, but can access no other section of the web application.

  4. In Admin Contact, enter the email address of the Innowera Control Panel administrator who is authorized to approve or reject the access requests of Process files or SAP systems.
  5. Select Update. The settings are saved.

Inactive User Settings

The following options available in Inactive User Settings enables you to configure the settings for inactive Process Runner users.

To configure Inactive User Settings,

  1. Enter the following information:
    • Clear inactive sessions of Process Runner: Indicates that all inactive users of Process Runner will be removed automatically, and no inactive Process Runner session will be displayed on the User Status page.
    • Maximum inactive time before clear session: Indicates the time duration for which a Process Runner user must be idle to be considered "inactive". By default, this time is two hours.

  2. Select Update. The settings are saved.

Color Configuration

Color Configuration enables you to change the display color for data in Innowera Control Panel, such as logged-off users, inactive users or groups, and blocked user group, users, processes, and SAP systems.

To configure Color Configuration,

  • Select color for the options, and then select Update. The settings are saved.

Approval Settings

Approval Settings enables you to configure the settings for Process file or SAP system access request reminders, which you send from Process Runner or Process Runner DB. These settings are available only when the Enable approval control option is selected on the Options page

To configure the Approval Settings,

  1. Enter the following information:
    • Time interval between reminders: Indicates the time duration (in hours) allowed between two consecutive access request reminders sent from Process Runner or Process Runner DB to Innowera Control Panel.
    • Maximum reminder limit: Indicates the number of access request reminders that you are allowed to send from Process Runner or Process Runner DB to Innowera Control Panel. By default, the value for Interval reminder for approval is 24 hrs and Maximum allow sent reminder is three.
  2. Select Update. The settings are saved.

  3. Optionally, to update the default email templates, select Approval Email Templates. The Email Template page appears.

Other User/Process/SAP System Settings

The Other User/Process/SAP System Settings section allows you to configure settings for users, processes, SAP systems, and technologies which are not listed in Innowera Control Panel and has the following settings:

Other User Settings

Other User Settings allows you to configure settings for Process Runner users who are not listed in Innowera Control Panel ("Other Users").

To configure Other User Settings

  1. To allow "Other Users" to access your Process Runner instance, select Allow all users other than defined in Innowera Control Panel.
  2. Enter the following information:
    • Maximum number of sessions allowed for "Other Users": Indicates the maximum number of Process Runner sessions used by "Other Users". By default, this value is Zero (0), which means that any number of sessions can be run at a time by "other users".
    • Maximum number of SAP Calls allowed to run for "Other Users": Indicates the maximum number of SAP Calls that "Other Users" can run in Process Runner. By default, this value is Zero (0), which means any number of SAP Calls can be run at a time by "other users".
  3. To allow time delay between two sets of SAP calls, configure the time options available in Time Setting for two sets of Max SAP Calls. Otherwise, select No time delay.
  4. Select one of the following options in SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID:
    • Setting as per SAP System: Indicates that the SAP user ID must be the same as the Windows user ID to sign in to SAP.
    • Setting as per below: Allows you to customize the SAP sign in settings using the following options:
      • All SAPuserID: Indicates that any of the "other users" can sign in to SAP by using any SAP user ID.
      • Enlist allowed SAPuserID: Indicates that you are allowed to use only the SAP user IDs listed in List of allowed SAPuserID. You can add multiple SAP user IDs separated by comma in the List of allowed SAPuserID option.   5. Select Allow Remote Function Modules (RFCs) for other user to allow "other users" access the BAPI/RFM process in Process Runner. For information about allowing RFM in Master Control, see Allow Remote Function Module in Master Control.
  6. To enable central settings for "Other Users", select Enabled Central Setting for "Other Users", and then select the central setting configured in your Innowera Control Panel instance from the box. For information about configuring Central Settings, see Manage Central Settings.
  7. Enter the following information in Data Extractor Settings:
    • Allow maximum number of records to extract: Indicates the maximum number of SAP records that "Other Users" are to be allowed to extract.
    • Allow maximum number of block size to extract records: Indicates the maximum number of block size allowed to extract records for corresponding "Other Users".
    • Do not allow join table: Indicates that the "Other Users" are not allowed to use the "Join Table" functionality of Process Runner.

  8. Select Update. The settings are saved.

Other Process Settings

Other Process Settings allows you to configure settings for Process Runner processes which are not listed in Innowera Control Panel ("Other Processes").

To configure Other Process Settings,

  1. To allow "Other Processes" to access your Process Runner instance, select Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel.
  2. Enter the following information:
    • Delay time between two calls for "Other Processes": Indicates the delay time defined between two Process Runner calls for "Other Processes".
    • Maximum number of parallel threads allowed for "Other Processes": Indicates the maximum number of parallel threads allowed at any time for "Other Processes".
  3. Select one of the following options in SAP Call setting for "Other Processes":
    • SAP Call as per User/Group: Indicates that the SAP call setting defined in Listed/Non-Listed of User/Group level must be considered.
    • SAP Call as per below: Indicates that the SAP call settings for new processes can be configured as per the following options:
      • Maximum number of SAP Calls allowed for "Other Processes": Indicates the maximum number of SAP Calls to run in Process Runner for "Other Processes" . By default, the value is Zero (0), which means any number of SAP Calls can be run at a time for unlisted processes.
      • Time Setting for two sets of Max SAP Calls: Indicates the time delay between two sets of SAP Calls to be executed for a process.
    • These settings will override the settings done at User-Group Level for "Other Processes" . For information about the combination of user, process, and SAP system, see Combination of Other Users, Processes and SAP Systems.

  4. In Data Extractor Settings, select one of the following options for Records To Extract Settings:
      • As per User/Group: Indicates that the Data Extractor setting defined in Listed/Non-Listed of User/Group level must be considered.
      • As per below: Indicates that the Data Extractor settings for "Other Processes" can be configured as per the following options:
        • Allow maximum number of records to extract: Indicates the maximum number of SAP records that "Other Users" are allowed to extract.
        • Allow maximum number of block size to extract records: Indicates the maximum number of block size allowed to extract records for "Other Processes".
        • Do not allow join table: Indicates that the "Other Processes" are not allowed to use the "Join Table" functionality of Process Runner.

  5. Select Update. The settings are saved.

Note: If Auto assign all processes to this user and Allow all other processes that are not defined in Innowera Control Panel options are selected at user level, and if user executes any process, which is not listed in Innowera Control Panel, then all the settings in Options > Other Process Settings will be applicable even if Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel option is not selected.

Other SAP System Settings

Other SAP System Settings allows you to configure settings for SAP systems that are not listed in Innowera Control Panel ("Other Systems").

To configure Other SAP System Settings,

  1. To allow "Other Systems" to access your Process Runner instance, select Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel.
  2. Enter the following information:
    • Delay time between two calls for "Other Systems": Indicates the delay time between two Process Runner calls for "Other Systems".
    • Maximum number of SAP logon sessions allowed for "Other Systems": Indicates the maximum number of SAP logon sessions allowed at any time for "Other Systems".
    • Maximum number of parallel threads allowed for "Other Systems": Indicates the maximum number of parallel threads allowed at any time for "Other Systems".
  3. Select SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID when loggin into SAP to make sure that the SAP user ID and Windows userID must match to allow users to sign in to SAP.
  4. Select Enable Call Setting to configure one of the following SAP call settings:
    • Allow any number of calls: Indicates that any number of SAP calls is allowed for "other systems". It will ignore settings done at User/Process level and user can execute any number of calls.
    • Count Max Allowed calls separately for other system: Indicates maximum count of SAP calls for is accounted separately for "other systems". For information about the combination of user, process, and SAP system, see Combination of Other Users, Processes and SAP Systems.

  5. Select Update. The settings are saved.

Note: If Auto assign all SAP systems to this user and Allow all other SAP system that are not defined in Innowera Control Panel options are selected at user level, and if user executes any process using SAP system, which is not listed in Innowera Control Panel, then all the settings in Options > Other SAP System Settings will be applicable even if Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel option is not selected.

Technology Settings

Technology Settings options enable you to allow undefined users and SAP systems in Innowera Control Panel to run Transaction, BAPI/RFM, GUI Scripting and Data Extractor technology.

To configure Technology Settings,

  • Select the technology options that you want, and then select Update. The settings are saved.
