Combination of Other Users, Processes and SAP Systems
This option is enabled when administrator wants to define a scenario to automatically combine listed and non-listed (users/processes/SAP systems) for successful execution. Hence all (users/processes/SAP systems) which are not listed in Innowera Control Panel will be activated with appropriate setting defined by Administrator. Refer to the following table for more information.

This section explains various scenarios with combination between following options at different levels:
- Allow all users other than defined in Innowera Control Panel.
- Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel.
- Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panell.
Scenario 1: SAP Calls settings for unlisted (Users/Processes)
This scenario is created when Allow all users other than defined in Innowera Control Panel and Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel options are enabled. Please consider that User and Process are not listed in Innowera Control Panel. See the following screenshot for more information.
For the above scenario, you need to define SAP Calls settings for unlisted (Users/Processes). For SAP Calls settings, please go to Admin Settings -> Options. You need to insert appropriate values in below highlighted options:
- Other User Settings -> User Settings for unlisted users in Master Control -> Maximum number of SAP Calls allowed to run for Other Users
- Other Process Settings -> Process Settings for unlisted processes in Master Control -> Maximum number of SAP Calls allowed for Other Processes.
- Other SAP System Settings -> Deselect Enable call setting
If SAP call as per User/Group is selected at Other Process Setting, then it will consider SAP call settings of Other User Settings for undefined user. In below example, Process Runner will consider settings from Maximum number of SAP Calls allowed to run for Other Users as the value defined is 5. The Time Setting for two sets of Max SAP Calls if set for both unlisted user and process, in this case the value will be considered of Other Users.
Note: If Enable Call Setting is active and Allow any number of calls is selected, then it will execute any number of SAP calls for all other SAP systems. In case if Count max allowed calls separately for 'other systems' is selected, then maximum SAP calls will be accounted separately for each and every SAP systems (Other systems).
Scenario 2: Delay Time between two calls of unlisted (Processes/SAP System) for unlisted user
This scenario is created when Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel, Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel options are enabled. Please consider that user, process and SAP system are not listed in Innowera Control Panel. See the following screenshot for more information.
For the above scenario, you need to define Delay Time between two calls settings for unlisted (Processes/Systems).
For Delay Time between two calls settings please go to Admin Settings -> Options. You need to insert appropriate values in below highlighted options:
- Other Process Settings -> Process Settings for unlisted processes in Master Control -> Delay time between two calls for Other processes.
- Other SAP System Settings -> System Settings for unlisted systems in Master Control -> Delay time between two calls for Other Systems.
- Process Runner settings.
The Maximum value will be effective in the above mentioned options. Delay between calls applied at following levels:
- Process level = 3
- SAP System level = 4
- Process Runner setting =2
In this condition, all settings will be compared and maximum value = 4 will be considered because SAP system level settings value is greater than Process and Process Runner settings.
Scenario 3: Parallel thread settings of unlisted (Processes/SAP System) for unlisted user
This scenario is created when Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel, Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel options are enabled. Please consider that user, process and SAP system are not listed in Innowera Control Panel. See the following screenshot for more information.
For the above scenario, you need to define Maximum number of parallel threads for unlisted (Processes/Systems).
For Maximum number of parallel threads settings, please go to Admin Settings -> Options. You need to insert appropriate values in below highlighted options:
- Other Process Settings -> Process Settings for unlisted processes in Master Control -> Maximum number of parallel threads allowed for Other Processes.
- Other SAP System Settings -> System Settings for unlisted systems in Master Control -> Maximum number of parallel threads allowed for Other Systems.
- Process Runner settings.
The minimum value will be effective in the above mentioned options. Max. Parallel thread applied at following levels:
- Process level = 2
- SAP system level = 4
- Process Runner setting = 3
In this conditions, all settings will be compared and minimum value = 2 will be considered because Process level settings value is lesser than SAP system level and Process Runner settings.
Scenario 4: SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID for unlisted (User/SAP system)
This scenario is created when Allow all users other than defined in Innowera Control Panel and all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel options are enabled. Please consider that User and SAP system are not listed in Innowera Control Panel. See the following screenshot for more information.
For the above scenario, we will see the working of both Setting as per SAP System and Setting as per below options.
- Other User Settings > SAPuserID should always match with Windows user ID -> Setting as per SAP System.
- Other SAP System Settings = SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID when logging into SAP enabled.
For the above case, the settings made at SAP system level will be applicable. The SAPuserID and Windows userID should always match otherwise user will not able to login to SAP.
If SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID when logging into SAP option is unchecked, user will be able to login to SAP with any SAP User ID.
- Other User Settings -> SAPuserID should always match with Windows user ID -> Setting as per below -> Any SAPuserID.
In this case, user can login into SAP by using any SAPuserID. SAPuserID should always match with Windows userID when logging into SAP at Other SAP System Settings will not be considered.
- Other Use Settings-> SAPuserID should always match with Windows user ID -> Setting as per below -> Enlist allowed SAPuserIDs.
In this case , checking this radio button will allow user to use only the SAPuserID listed in the List of allowed SAPuserID option. You can add multiple SAPuserID seperated by comma in the list of allowed SAPuserID option. Error will be displayed if user tries to login with any other SAP user ID other than those listed.
Scenario 5: Few examples for unlisted (SAP system) and Listed (User/Process)
Below mentioned are few examples to see the working of listed controls with Unlisted SAP System in Innowera Control Panel.
Example 1: SAPuserID should always match with Windows user ID option
For the above scenario, we will see the working of Setting as per SAP System option. This scenario is created when Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel is enabled. Please consider User, Processes are listed and SAP system is not listed in Innowera Control Panell. See the following screenshot for more information.
For the above case, the settings made at Other SAP system level will be applicable. The SAPuserID and Windows userID should always match otherwise listed user(JSmith) will not able to login to SAP.
Example 2: Delay time between two calls
For the above scenario, you need to define Delay Time between two calls settings for unlisted (SAP Systems) and Listed (Process). This scenario is created when Allow all systems other than defined in Innowera Control Panel is enabled. Please consider User, Processes are listed and SAP system is not listed in Innowera Control Panel. See the following screen shot for more information.
The Maximum value will be effective in the above mentioned options. Delay between calls applied at following levels:
- Process level = 11
- SAP System level = 9
- Process Runner setting =2
In this condition, all settings will be compared and maximum value = 11 will be considered because Process level settings value is greater than SAP System and Process Runner settings.
Scenario 6: Example for unlisted (Process) and Listed (User/SAP System)
Below mentioned are few examples to see the working of listed controls with Unlisted process in Innowera Control Panel.
Example 1: SAP Call Settings
For the above scenario, you need to define SAP Calls settings for unlisted (Processes) and Listed (User). You need to insert appropriate values as shown in below image. This scenario is created when Allow all processes other than defined in Innowera Control Panel option is enabled. Please consider that User and SAP system are listed in Innowera Control Panel. See the following screenshot for more information.
Process Runner will allow to the SAP calls as defined in above mentioned options. In this example, Process Runner will consider settings from Maximum number of SAP Calls allowed for Other Processes as per User/Group Settings defined. Therefore, it will run 15 SAP calls which is defined at user level settings.
Example 2: Parallel thread settings
For this scenario, you need to define Maximum number of parallel threads for unlisted (Processes) and Listed (Systems) as shown in below images.
The minimum value will be effective in the above mentioned options. Max. Parallel thread applied at following levels:
- Process level = 2
- SAP system level = 3
- Process Runner setting = 3
In this conditions, all settings will be compared and minimum value = 2 will be considered because Process level settings value is lesser than SAP system level and Process Runner settings.
These are some simplified examples to clear the concept s and provide basic information so that you can implement your own business rules.
