Install Easy Workflow

This section explains information about the prerequisites, installing Easy Workflow, and installing Process Runner Excel Add-in.

At the end of this section, you will install the following:

• Easy Workflow database configuration tool, which is used to create and configure the Easy Workflow database, and Easy Workflow Service on the server system.
• Process Runner Excel Add-in on the client system.

Prerequisites

• Ensure that your system meets the system requirements of the Easy Workflow application. For information about the system requirements, see System Requirements for Easy Workflow.
• Ensure that your client system meets the system requirements of the Process Runner Excel Add-in application. For information about the system requirements, see System Requirements for Process Runner Excel Add-in .
• If you want to encrypt connection between Easy Workflow and SQL Server using TLS 1.2, see Encrypt Connections Using TLS Protocol for additional prerequisites.

Install Easy Workflow on a Server System

In this guide, Install Easy Workflow Service means that you must run the IEWF_Server_Component_Setup on the system to install the Easy Workflow Service.

To install or upgrade Easy Workflow,

1. Extract the contents of the IEWF_Server_Component_Setup.zip file.
2. Right-click the IEWF_Server_Component_Setup and select Run as administrator. The Easy Workflow Server Component Setup Wizard window appears.
3. Select Next. The End-User License Agreement window appears.
4. Select the I accept the terms in the License Agreement checkbox and select Next. The Destination Folder window appears.

   

5. In the Destination Folder window, select any of the following:
   • Select Next to continue with the default destination folder.
   • Select Change and navigate to the folder location of the destination folder. Select Next.

   The Ready to Install Easy Workflow Server Component window appears.

6. Select Install. The installation process starts, and the status of the installation appears. After the installation process is complete, the Completed the Easy Workflow Setup Wizard window appears.
7. Select Finish. Easy Workflow is installed, and the IEWF Configuration Tool shortcut icon is created on the desktop. The Easy Workflow Service is also installed.

Install Process Runner Excel Add-in on a Client System

For information about how to install Process Runner Excel Add-in, see Process Runner Excel Add-in Installation Guide. You must install Process Runner Excel Add-in on the system and then configure the Easy Workflow connection details in Process Runner Excel Add-in.
