System Requirements for Easy Workflow

This document lists the system requirements for Easy Workflow.

Server Computer Requirements

You can install both the Easy Workflow database and the Easy Workflow service on the same computer or on different computers. Multiple instances of Easy Workflow service can also be installed.

The hardware requirements of the server computer for Easy Workflow database are as follows:

• RAM: 4 GB
• Database size: 1 GB to 10 GB

Note: The database can be installed on a dedicated or a clustered SQL Server. For database sizing estimation workbook, see Database Sizing Calculator.

The hardware requirements of the server computer for Easy Workflow service are as follows:

• RAM: 4 GB to 8 GB
• Disk space: 200 MB to 250 MB

The software requirements of the server computer for Easy Workflow database are as follows:

• Operating system: Windows Server 2025, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016.
• Database: SQL Server 2019, SQL Server 2017, SQL Server 2016, or SQL Server 2014 Service Pack 3.

The software requirements of the server computer for Easy Workflow service are as follows:

• Operating system: Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, Windows Server 2016.
• Microsoft Office (64-bit and 32-bit): Office 365 or 2021.
• SAP GUI: 8.0 (32-bit)
• ERP: One of the following source systems:
  • SAP ERP 6
    • Supported Enhancement Package: EHP8, EHP7 or EHP6
  • SAP S/4HANA
    • Versions: 1909, 1809, or 1709
  • SAP CRM 7.0
  • SAP SCM 7.0 (APO Module)
• SAP .NET Connector: 3.1.3 for SAP GUI 8.0
• Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable Package (x86) to use NCo Library functionality
• Supported outbound email servers and protocols:
  • IMAP
  • SMTP
  • Microsoft Exchange
  • Microsoft Office 365

  Internet connectivity is required for outbound emails. User name and password are also required for most of the outbound emails. Additionally, for SMTP, you also require outgoing mail server and port information, and information about whether SSL must be configured.

  We also provide temporary outgoing email settings for evaluation purpose.

Connectivity between Easy Workflow database and Easy Workflow service is required.

Ensure that you have the latest service packs and updates for related products.

Note: You can also install Easy Workflow on a virtual computer. A special license is required to work in these environments. For information about such licenses, contact insightsoftware support.

To receive emails from users and alerts for process approval, rejection, creation, or updates to workflow items, you can install the Email Runner on the computer where Easy Workflowservice is installed. Client Computer Requirements

To use with the Easy Workflow features, you must install Process Runner Excel Add-in.

Ensure that the client computer can access the Easy Workflow database through Windows Authentication or SQL Server Authentication. If you are using Easy Workflow 2.2 or later, ensure that Process Runner Excel Add-in is upgraded to version 4.40.2 or later.
