Upgrade Process Runner DB

Prerequisites

When you upgrade to Process Runner DB 23.4 or newer versions, if you are currently using a version older than 23.4, you need to uninstall the older version.

To upgrade Process Runner DB, perform the steps in the Install Process Runner DB section.

Install multiple versions of Process Runner DB

You can install more than one version of Process Runner DB on the same system. However, we recommend you install only one version of the application on one system.
If you are installing more than one version of Process Runner DB on the same system, select a different path for the destination location during installation.

Install side-by-side version of Process Runner DB

While installing a side-by-side version of Process Runner DB, you must select a different path for the destination location.
While installing a side-by-side version of Process Runner DB, if you select the Create a desktop shortcut checkbox in the Select Additional Tasks window, the application shortcut on your desktop opens the new version of Process Runner DB. For the shortcut on the desktop to open to the old (existing) version, you must clear the Create a desktop shortcut checkbox.
All the side-by-side versions of Process Runner DB use the same license file.
All the side-by-side versions of Process Runner DB use the same settings (Options). A change in the settings for one version of Process Runner DB is applicable to all the side-by-side versions of the application installed on the system.

Note: To use the old (existing) version of Process Runner DB, run the ProRDB.exe application into its installation folder.
