Install EShare

This section contains the steps to install Innowera EShare.

Prerequisites

• Review the system requirements in Innowera EShare System Requirements, and make sure that your setup meets the minimum requirements.
• If you run the installer using With IIS mode, then make sure that the following IIS components are enabled in the Server Manager of your IIS version. If other IIS components are enabled, you do not have to disable them.
  • Common HTTP Features: Default Document, Directory Browsing, HTTP Errors, Static Content
  • Health and Diagnostics: HTTP Logging
  • Performance: Static Content Compression
  • Security: Request Filtering, Windows Authentication
  • Application Development: .NET Extensibility 4.7 for 2019 (.NET Extensibility 4.6 for 2016 and .NET Extensibility 4.5 for 2012 or 2012 R2)
  • Management Tools: Internet Information Services (IIS) Management Console

Note: You do not have to configure IIS if you run the installer using Without IIS (Self) Contained mode.

To install EShare

1. Extract the contents of Innowera_EShare_Setup.zip file.
2. Right-click the Innowera_EShare_Setup and select Run as administrator.
3. Select Next in the Innowera EShare Setup window.
4. Accept the terms and conditions in the License Agreement screen and select Next.
5. In the Select Innowera Eshare Mode screen, select one of the following modes:

   

   • Select With IIS to install Innowera EShare under Internet Information Service (IIS).
   • Select Without IIS (Self Contained) to install Innowera EShare as a Windows servic which however requires a port to run the Innowera EShare service. For more inforamtion, see Configure EShare Service.
   1. If you have selected With IIS mode, perform the following:
      1. Select Next. The Select Installation Address window appears.

         

      2. Select any Site and Virtual Directory. However, we recommend Default Web Site and InnoweraEShare.
      3. Select Next to continue.
   2. If you have selected Without IIS (Self Contained) mode, perform the following:
      1. Select the destination folder for installation. The default installation folder is C:\Program Files (x86)\Innowera\Innowera EShare.
      2. Select Next.

         

6. In the Confirm Innowera Eshare Installation window, select Install to continue the installation of Innowera EShare.
7. In the Completed the Innowera Eshare Setup Wizard, select Finish. The installation of Innowera EShare is complete.

Innowera EShare is installed and the Innowera EShare Database and Service Configuration shortcut icon is created on the desktop.
