Install Email Runner
This section explains how to install Email Runner.
Prerequisites
- Ensure that your system meets the system requirements of the Email Runner application. For information about the system requirements, see System Requirements for Email Runner.
- Restart your device if the .NET Framework is not installed and if Email Runner is installed using silent installation mode.
- When you install Email Runner 23.4 or newer versions, if you are currently using 23.2 or older versions, you need to uninstall the older version.
Note: You must install Email Runner on a server system.
Install Email Runner
To install Email Runner,
- Right-click
InnoweraEmailRunnerSetup.exe, and select Run as administrator. The Email Runner Setup Wizard window appears. - Select Next. The License Agreement window appears.
- Select I Agree, and select Next. The Select Installation Folder window appears.
- In the Select Installation Folder window, select any of the following:
- Select Next to continue with the default destination folder.
- Select Browse and navigate to the folder location of the destination folder. Select Next.
The Confirm Installation window appears.
- Select Next. The installation process starts, and the status of the installation appears. The Installation Complete window appears with the Launch Email Runner check box selected by default.
- Select Close. The Email Runner Management Console wizard appears.
- Select Ok > Yes. The Database Configuration dialog appears.
- On the Database Configuration dialog, enter the following details:
- Server: Enter the server device name or IP address of the server device where SQL Server is installed.

Database: Enter the name of the database.
INW_ERUNNERis the default database name. You can modify this value as required. - Authentication: Select the authentication method that you want to use for connecting to the SQL Server instance. If SQL Server Authentication is selected, you must provide a valid user name and password to connect to the SQL Server in the Username and Password fields. This information is not required in Windows Authentication mode. We recommend that you use SQL Server Authentication when making a connection to the SQL Server. To use Windows Authentication, add the required Windows domain user that can access the SQL Server where the Email Runner database is installed and provide that Windows Domain user with the required level of access to the Email Runner database.
- Connection Timeout: Indicates the connection timeout (in seconds) after which the trial session of trying to connect to the database will expire.
- Archived DB: Indicates that the database will be archived. When this option is selected, you can also specify the name of the archive database. This is an optional parameter.
- Expand the Database Collation Settings section.
- Select the Use Collation checkbox and select the type of collation that must be used while creating the Email Runner database.
- To test whether the database you are creating supports the type of collation you selected in the Use Collation list, select Verify. A dialog appears to indicate if Email Runner supports the collation type.
Note: Email Runner supports only case-insensitive collation.
- Optionally, select Test Connection > OK.
- Select Create/Modify Database. If the Email Runner service is running, you are prompted to stop the service.
- Select Yes.
- On the Service Status dialog, select Stop > Close.
- Select OK. Email Runner is installed.
