Upload Process Files to EShare
This topic describes how to upload single or multiple Process files from local drive to EShare and how to share it with users and user groups.
There are two options to upload files to EShare:
- Add Single File allows you to select a single Process file at a time and upload the file to EShare server.
- Add Multiple Files allows you to upload multiple Process files from local drive to EShare.
Add Single File
This section explains how to select a single Process file at a time and upload the file to EShare server.
To add single file to Eshare,
- Select File > Open > Open from EShare. The Open from EShare dialog appears.
- Select Add > Add Single File from the drop-down list.
- Select the Process file from the list and select Open as shown in the following screenshot:
- Select file sharing type from drop-down list and click Ok to upload file to EShare.
Note: Manage Tags and Category options are available only for Process Runner Cloud connection type.
Add Multiple Files
This section explains how to select and upload multiple Process files from local drive to EShare.
To upload multiple files to EShare server,
- Select File > Open > Open from EShare. The Open from EShare dialog appears.
- Select Add > Add Multiple File from the drop-down list.
- Select either of the options, Add Folder or Add Files to add multiple files.
- Select the multiple files and select Open as shown in the following screenshot:
- The selected files are displayed in the grid. Select one of the following options in the File Upload Option section:
- Skip: Skips the upload if the Process file already exists on EShare server.
- Overwrite: Overwrites the existing Process file on EShare.
- Create New: Creates a new process file with new name.
- Select the files that you want to upload and select Upload.
- The selected files are uploaded to EShare.
Share Eshare Files
This sections explains how to share the files your are uploading to users or user groups in Control Panel.
To share the Eshare file,
- In the Open from EShare dialog, select the process file you wanted to share.
- Select Sharing and from the drop-down list, select one of the following options:

Share with users: To share files with specified users with permissions.
- Read Only shared with: Select the users from the list to share the file with Read Only permission.
- Read / Write shared with: Select the users from the list to share the file with Read / Write permission.

Share with groups: To share files with the groups in Control Panel.
- Read Only shared with: Select the groups from the list to share the file with Read Only permission.
- Read / Write shared with: Select the groups from the list to share the file with Read / Write permission.
Note:
- If a user belongs to more than one group that has access to the file, they receive the highest permission level granted across those groups. For example, if one group has Read Only access and another has Read/Write access, that user receives Read/Write access.
- A user's EShare role permissions always override group sharing permissions. If a user's role does not allow access to a file, they cannot access it even if the file is shared with their group
- A file owner can always edit the file, even if their group is set to Read Only.
- Inactive users cannot access the file, even if they are members of a group with sharing permission.
