Generate VBA Code from Process Runner Automatically

This topic describes how to automatically generate VBA code from Process Runner; this option works only for external Excel files. Process Runner does not allow you to insert the “Run with Process Runner” button to the generated Excel template until you have enabled trust access to VBA project object model.

To automatically generate VBA Code,

1. Open the Process file for which you want to insert the run button in its Excel template and select Home > Generate Template. The Generate Excel Template window appears.
2. Select Insert “Run with Process Runner” button to worksheet. The Excel Macro Security window appears.
3. Select the Click Here link. A page is displayed with information about how to enable trust access to VBA.

   

4. Enable trust access to VBA and then open the Process file. The VBA macro button Run with Process Runner is displayed in the file; optionally, view the code in the Visual Basic editor.
