Start SAP GUI Failed
Symptom
When you try to connect to an SAP system, an error message similar to the following is displayed.
Start 'sapgui' failed.
RFC ERROR LOGON FAILURE
Authorization failures during the logon phase usually cause by unknown username, wrong password, invalid certificate, etc.
Cause
This problem occurs when you try to launch the SAP GUI from the Connector for SAP window in Process Runner, and when there is an issue with the SAP GUI installation or with the registry settings associated with it.
Solution
Check with your SAP Basis team to confirm that all of the authorizations have been provided to your user profile (especially RFC authorizations).
