File Tab: Back-Stage View
This section contains information about the different options in the File tab, which presents a backstage view of all the major operations related to Process files. The backstage menu of the File tab enables you to manage the Process files; you can perform tasks such as creating, saving, opening, and closing Process files.
Note: To return to the Process file instantly from the backstage view, select Back. Alternatively, press ESC button from keyboard.

Info
This section describes the backstage container of the Info tab that displays information about the Process file in the Basic and Advanced tabs.
To view the Process file details,
- In Process Runner, select File. The backstage view appears with the Basic tab that contains information such as the file name, its location, file type, version, who created the file, when the file was last run, and others. Also, the following details appears.
- SAP Release: Displays the version of the SAP system on which the Process file was created.
- SAP System Info: Displays the SAP System ID and language on which the Process file was created.
- Select Advanced. The following information appears.
- OS-Off-C-info: Displays the language of the file that is currently opened in the Process Runner.

Creation Framework: Displays the version of the
.Netframework in which the Process file was created. -
Last Framework: Displays the current
.Netframework of the file - Created ProR Version: Displays the Process Runner version in which the Process file was created.
- Changed ProR Version: Displays the Process Runner version in which this file was last edited.
- Optionally, perform the following steps:
- To disable SAP version check for the Process file when it is run, select Disable SAP version check on run.
- To not check for the difference between the original Process file version and its current version, select Disable future version file check.
Note: For information about how to set Disable SAP version check on run and Disable future version file check globally for all Process files, see Updates/Backup.
- To close the Process file, select Close and to close Process Runner, select Exit.
New Process
This section describes how to record a Process file. Process Runner supports the following technologies:
- Transaction
- BAPI/RFM
- GUI Script
- Data Extractor
To start recording a Process file,
- In Process Runner, select File. The backstage view appears.
- Select New Process from the pane on the left side of the window.
- In the backstage container, you can perform the following tasks:
- Refresh the cloud sample cache using the refresh icon available on the top in the backstage container . The option to refresh the files is available only if cloud samples are uploaded.
- Search for a Process file either by Process File Type or SAP Version or Category filters.
- Change the view of the backstage container using the change view controller button that is available next to the search toolbar. The different views are Large Icons, Medium Icons, Small Icons, and Grid View.
- Double-click New Transaction, New RFM/BAPI, New GUI Script, or New Data Extractor. The New Process Wizard appears.
Open Process File
This topic describes how to open a Process file in Process Runner. If you do not have permission to open and run the Process file because the auto-assign settings are not enabled in Control Panel, send an access request to your Control Panel administrator. For more information, see Send Access Request for Process, SAP System to Control Panel .
To open a Process file,
- Open Process Runner. The backstage view appears.
- To open an already recorded and saved Process file that is available on your system, perform the following steps:
- Select Open > Open From Local. The Open window appears.
- Select the Process file and select Open. The Process file is opened.
- To open a Process file from EShare, which is a network environment where numerous Process Runner users can use a single centralized database, perform the following steps:
- Select Open > Open From EShare. The Open from EShare window appears.
- Select the Process file and select Open. The Process file is opened.
- Optionally, you can select Open (Smart EShare) to generate, download and open a copy of the Process file that is saved on EShare. In such a scenario, the original file in EShare is not modified.
- To open a Process File from local ready-to-run Template, which are the sample Process files that are in the Documents\Innowera\Samples path on your system, perform the following steps:
- Select Open > Local Ready-to-Run Template. The Open window appears.
- Select the Process file and select Open. The Process file is opened.
- To open a Process file from cloud ready-to-run-template, perform the following steps:
- Select Open > Cloud Ready-to-Run Template. The Ready to Run Template from Cloud window appears.
- Select the Process file, right-click, and select Download. The Process file is opened. If you try to open a password-protected sample, you are prompted to enter the password; please create a support case on Salesforce for the password.
Note: You can right-click a Process file and select View Details to view information about the file such as the file name, its ID, when the file was uploaded, the category, and description are displayed.
Note: You can search for a Process file either by Process File Type or SAP Version or Category filters. The Process File Type filter can used for all type of views, but the SAP Version and Category filters are available only in grid view.

- To open an Excel Add-in ready file, perform the following steps:
- Select Open > Open Excel Add-in Ready File. The Open window appears.
- Browse to the Excel Add-in ready file that you want to open and select Open.
- If the Excel Add-in ready file has more than one attached Process file, select the file that you want to update from the list of Process files displayed in the Excel Add-in Template – [<NameOfTemplate>] window, and select Open Process File.
- Update the Process file, save, and close it. The Process file is attached automatically to the Excel Add-in ready file.
- Run the file.
Save
This section describes how to use the Save option to save the progress of Process file in Process Runner.
To save the Process file,
- Select File. The backstage view appears.
- Select Save from the left pane of the window. The file is saved.
- To close the Process file, select Close and to close Process Runner, select Exit.
Save As
This topic describes how to save the Process File as a Process file on your computer at a custom location or on EShare; EShare is a central database that enables other Process Runner to save, open and share the Process files.
You can also save the Process file as an Excel Add-in ready file.
To save the Process file,
- Select File. The backstage view appears.
- Select Save As.
- Select one of the following options to save the Process file as a Process file:
- Save As Local: Indicates that the Process file is saved on the computer with the name that you entered.
- Save As on EShare: Indicates that the Process file is saved on EShare with the name that you entered and the specified sharing type.
- To convert the Process file of Process Runner into an Excel Add-in ready file that can be run from Excel, select Save As Excel Add-in Ready File. In the Generate Excel Add-in Ready File window, you can save the file either on your system or on EShare.
- To enhance the compatibility of Process File, select Save Process file with Compress format.
- To close the Process file, select Close and to close Process Runner, select Exit.
