Change Limit of SAP Calls or Records

Process Runner allows limited access to the multiple calls and rows while recording a transaction. This limit depends on the license and other factors.

Limit of rows and SAP call or records can be set from the Home tab as shown in the following screenshot.

• Start Row: Sets the first Excel row where Process Runner initiates the run in the external Excel file.
• End Row: Sets the last Excel row where Process Runner stops the run in the external Excel file. If there is no data before End Row, Process Runner stops even before it reaches the End Row.

• Access Limits through Control Panel

  The access limits on SAP calls can be set from Control Panel. This is done from the Master Controls settings in Control Panel. The limitations on SAP calls can be set for Process Runner User/Groups or Process file.

  Note: Contact Control Panel administrator to reset the limits of SAP calls for Process Runner.

• Row Limit from SDK

  In some cases, Process Runner returns error if more than 5 rows are queued-up for run. This happens when zero is allotted to SDK type and is useful when Process Runner is used for designing Process files and the file run is done on another insightsoftware product.

• Row Limit from Main License

  Process Runner license consists of a predefined flag of MAX_ROWS variable that is set according to the purchased license. The maximum SAP call restrictions (Transaction, BAPI, and GUI technologies) depends on the value displayed in MAX_ROWS in Help > About.

  Similarly, a separate flag variable MAX_ROWS_DE is set for Data Extractor technology that displays the maximum data extracting limit. Refer to the following screenshot.

  

  The specifications of Process Runner license based on the value in MAX_ROWS and MAX_ROWS_DE are as follows:

  • MAX_ROWS: Is the integer value is considered as the maximum row limit for Transaction, BAPI/RFM, and GUI technologies. For example, 5, 150, or 300. If MAX_ROWS is 0, then it indicates that there are no restrictions on the maximum row limit for Transaction, BAPI/RFM, and GUI technologies.
  • MAX_ROWS_DE: Is the integer value is considered as the maximum row limit for Data Extractor technology. For example, 5, 150, or 300. If MAX_ROWS_DE is 0, then it indicates that there are no restrictions on the maximum row limit for Data Extractor technology.

• Limit from Lite License

  Process Runner Lite version is available only for Transaction technology that has a restriction on maximum row limit. By default, the MAX_ROW limit is set to 100; only 100 records can be run in a single execution.
