Automatic Security Detection and Reset

When user uses Process Runner for recording and running of various process files (scripts), it will need various SAP authorization objects assigned to your SAP security profile. When user will logon to any SAP system for the first time, Process Runner automatically detects security settings assigned to user’s User ID in that system and remembers it. This will ensure that when user will logon to any of these SAP systems next time, previously discovered settings will be used automatically. This will eliminate need to determine user’s security settings every time.

If user did not have any required authorizations in given system, it will disable some of the utility functions such as requesting descriptions for recorded transaction. It also remember not to perform those functions next time, so the user does not get the warning messages repeatedly.

Important: In the event where user assigned missing SAP authorizations/profiles, user must tell Process Runner to re- determine user’s security settings. Unless user will perform steps below, Process Runner will not use user’s newly assigned security profiles and user will be still missing field descriptions and other important utility functions that may be possible now under that authorization.
