SAP HANA Connection Error

When you configure the SAP HANA database in Process Runner DB, an error message similar to the following appears:

DBMANAG: 1 HANA:6 The type initializer for 'Sap.Data.Hana.HanaConnection' threw an exception

Cause

The SAP HANA Client version that is installed on the user's system is incompatible.

Solution

Uninstall the existing version of SAP HANA Client and install a compatible version for Process Runner DB from the following:

• For 64-bit systems

  1. Go to www.sap.com/india/account.html.
  2. Select Support > SAP for Me Customer Portal > Login to SAP for Me. The Sign In SAP for Me page appears.
  3. Sign in with your credentials. The Download Software page appears.
  4. Select the Support Packages & Patches tab > SAP HANA Platform Edition. The SAP HANA Platform Edition page appears.

     Note: In the Support Packages & Patches tab, you can select By Alphabetical Index (A-Z) > H to quickly select SAP HANA Platform Edition.

  5. Select SAP HANA Platform Edition 2.0 > SAP HANA Client 2.0. The SAP HANA Client 2.0 page appears.
  6. In the drop-down list, select Windows on X64 64bit.
  7. In the Items Available To Download list, select SAP HANA Client Version 2.17.
  8. Download and install SAP HANA Client Version 2.17.
