Configure Authentication Settings in IIS to use Web and Mobile Server with SharePoint

The steps mentioned in this section are to be followed only if users are going to make use of Innowera Web and Mobile Server for connecting SharePoint environment to SAP.

To configure authentication settings,

  1. Open IIS Manager to configure the IIS settings.
  2. Configure authentication for Web and Mobile Server application as shown in the following screenshot.

  3. In the Authentication, disable Anonymous Authentication and enable ASP.Net Impersonation. Make sure you enable Windows Authentication for using Innowera Web and Mobile Server for SharePoint – SAP integration. To change the status, select the Name and select Enable/Disable under Actions or right-click the name and choose the status.
  4. In some cases, Window Authentication could be missing under the Authentication in IIS. Perform the following steps to add Windows Authentication role service.
    1. On the taskbar, select Start, point to Administrative Tools, and then select Server Manager.
    2. In the Server Manager Hierarchy pane, expand Roles, and then select Web Server (IIS).
    3. In the Web Server (IIS) pane, scroll to the Role Services section, and then select Add Role Services.
    4. On the Select Role Services page of the Add Role Services wizard, select Windows Authentication, and then select Next.

    5. On the Confirm Installation Selections page, select Install.
    6. On the Results page, select Close.
    7. After the installation of the role service, enable Window Authentication for Web and Mobile Server application in IIS.
