Configure User Groups in Domain for Innowera Control Panel
This section explains you how to create Users Group in domain.
Create Active Directory User Group
To create Active Directory Users Group,
- Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Right-click Users, select New > Group in the popup menu. The New Object - Group dialog appears.
- Enter group name in the Group Name box. Example: InnoUserGrp.
- SelectOk. The newly created group will be available in Users > Active Directory Users and Computers.
Create Active Directory Users
To create Active Directory Users,
- Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Right-click Users, select New > User. The New Object - Users dialog box appears.
- In the New Object - User dialog, enter First name, Last name, and Full nameof the user and select Next.
- Enter password in the Password and Confirm Password boxes and select Next. Make sure that User cannot change password and Password never expires check boxes are selected.
- Select Finish. The newly created User will be listed in Active Directory Users and Computers under Users.
To Add User to a Group
To add user to group,
- Go to Start > Administrative Tools > Active Directory Users and Computers.
- Select Users. The list of users appears.
- Right-click the group (example: InnoUserGrp) to which you want to add the user and select Properties. The <group_name> Properties dialog box appears.
- Select Members tab and select Add. The Select Users, Contacts, Computers, or Groups dialog box appears.
- Enter user name in the Enter the object names to select box and select Check Names.
- Select Ok once the user information is populated. The newly added user will be listed under Members in <group_name> Properties dialog box.
