Error during Process Runner Excel Add-in start-up

During the Process Runner Excel Add-in start up, an error message similar to the following appears:

Cause

This error typically occurs when a user launches Process Runner Excel Add-in during installation on the Citrix server. When this happens, the application saves path and configuration settings to the Windows registry. These settings are then notified to all Citrix users. If the path is already set, Process Runner Excel Add-in uses the existing path instead of determining a new one.

Solution

To resolve the error, sign in to the Citrix Server using the user ID of each affected user. Delete the entire Process Runner Excel Add-in registry tree from the user's profile.

To remove the registry entry,

1. Select the Start button and enter REGEDIT in the search box to open Registry Editor.
2. Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER > Software > Innowera.
3. Delete the Process Runner and Excel Add-in folders.

Setup Wizard ended prematurely

You might see that the installation ended prematurely.

Cause

Several environments of the Windows operating system might require administrative rights for the successful installation of Process Runner Excel Add-in. This error occurs when you try to install Process Runner Excel Add-in on a system without administrator rights.

Solution

Ensure that you run the installation package with administrator privileges.

Unable to Install Using ClickOnce Setup

You might see the following error while installing Process Runner Excel Add-in using the ClickOnce setup.

There was an error during the installation.

Specified argument was out of the range of valid values.

Parameter name: entryValue

Solution

To install using the ClickOnce Setup,

1. If Process Runner Excel Add-in is already installed, then open Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs and uninstall the application.
2. To clear the ClickOnce cache, go to Start > Run > rundll32 dfshim CleanOnlineAppCache. The cache is cleared.
3. Reinstall Process Runner Excel Add-in using Process Runner Excel Add-in ClickOnce setup.
