Install or Upgrade Innowera Control Panel
To install Innowera Control Panel,

Run
Innowera_ControlPanel_Setup.exe. The Welcome to the Innowera Control Panel Setup Wizard page appears. - Select Next. The Select Installation Address page appears.
- If you want to install in a web location other than the default location, specify the following details:
- Site name
- Virtual path for the application
- Select Next. The Confirm Installation page appears.
- Select Next. The Installation Complete page appears with the Launch Innowera Control Panel Configuration Tool option selected by default.
- After the installation of Innowera Control Panel, select Close to exit the wizard. If you had selected the Launch Innowera Control Panel Configuration Tool option in step 5, the Innowera Control Panel Database Configuration page appears. Otherwise, to go your desktop and open iControl Panel Database Settings. The Innowera Control Panel Database Configuration page appears.
Note: For information about the required permissions, see Permissions Required for SQL Server Users.
- Select Innowera Control Panel Server Database Settings, and on the Innowera Control Panel Database Setup window, enter the following details:
- Server: Indicates the IP address or the server name where the database is present.
- Database: Indicates the name of the database.
- Authentication: Indicates the authentication mode used to connect to the database. By default, SQL Server Authentication is selected. If you select SQL Server Authentication, you must provide the Username and Password fields to connect to the SQL Server. If you are using Windows Authentication, you must have the environment set up accordingly.
- Connection Timeout: Indicates the connection timeout after which the trial session for trying to connect to the database will expire. For example, if Connection Timeout option is enabled and set to 30 seconds, Innowera Control Panel will try to establish connection with the database only after 30 seconds.
- Command Timeout: Indicates the time to wait while trying to run a command before terminating the attempt and generation an error.
- Archive Database: Indicates that the database will be archived, and allows you to provide a name for the archived database. By default, this option is selected and a name for the archived database is given.
- Map Database: Indicates the existing database that can be mapped to the Innowera Control Panel web application.
Note: For information about the required permissions, see Permissions Required for SQL Server Users. Also, in IIS, if the authentication mode is set as anonymous and if you select Windows Authentication, the NT AUTHORITY\IUSR user is created in SQL Server during the installation.
- Select Create/Upgrade Database. The Information dialog box appears with a message stating that Innowera Control Panel database has been created or updated successfully.
- Select Ok to close the dialog box, and select Exit to exit the wizard.
- Go to http://<localhost>/InnoweraControlPanel/Login.aspx, and enter the Innowera Control Panel sign in credentials in the Site Login screen. The default credentials are as follows:
- Username: admin
- Password: innowera1
- Optionally, you can sign in to Innowera Control Panel as a Windows authenticated user by using your Window's domain credentials, if the Windows Authentication is enabled at the authentication settings of Innowera Control Panel in IIS. The following Innowera Control Panel page appears when you have Windows authentication enabled.
Note: You can change the password from Account Settings in Innowera Control Panel. For more information about account settings, see Innowera Control Panel Help.
Upgrade Innowera Control Panel
Note: Make sure that you take a backup of the Innowera Control Panel database before you upgrade the Innowera Control Panel.
To upgrade Innowera Control Panel,
- Run the
Innowera_ControPanel_Setup.exeand follow the steps from 1 through 4 of Install Innowera Control Panel section.
