Step 2: Create and Configure EShare Database Users

You shall create a database user for SQL Logins so that the appropriate Windows Domain user can have required level of access to Innowera EShare database. This is a required to be performed when you first time install Innowera ESharedatabase. This step may also be required if you want to add/remove additional users at a later stage.

To create and configure Innowera ESharedatabase users,

1. Select the default database INW_PRDB from the Databases in tree view.

   

2. Select INW_PRDB> Users and right-click to select New User from popup menu.
3. Enter username and select the login name. We are using InnoUserGrp for example.
4. Select Browse in Select Login.
5. Select [INNSRT01\testuser] (the user created in section 1(A)) and select OK.

   

6. Select the added user, and then select OK in Select Login screen.
7. Select the read/write permissions and select OK in Database User – New screen.

   

8. The newly added user is displayed under Users node in INW_PRDB database.
