Configure Email Settings

The Email Configuration page helps the user to set up a pattern of behavior related to emails.

Note: You can configure the email settings using the Innowera Dashboard Database Configuration tool. You can also use the Email Outgoing Configuration option in this tool to change the password for the email ID.

To configure email settings,

  1. Expand Admin Settings from the left panel, and then select Email Configuration.
  2. Select Enable Email Configure, and then enter the required details.
  3. In Test Email ID enter the email address to receive the test mail notification.
  4. Select Send Test Email.

    Description

    Account Type

    Select the account type of the email. If the drop-down options does not contain the required account type, then configure it manually through 'Custom' option. If Account Type is Microsoft Exchange or Office 365, then select More Setting to configure additional email settings as follows:

    • Setting Mode: Indicates the server URL to be provided. Check with your system administrator and use the correct setting mode. If you select Auto, you do not have to provide the URL information. If you select Manual, you will have to provide the URL information.

    • Exchange Server Version: Indicates the version of Microsoft Exchange Server that your account connects to.

    • Use Network Credential: Indicates that if you want to connect to Exchange Web Service from a computer that is logged on to the domain, use the credentials of the authenticated user.

    • Username: Indicates the user name for the given email ID.

    • Domain: Indicates the domain name which is linked with the given email ID.

    • Server URL: Indicates the URL from where Innowera Email Runner discovers the given email ID.

    Note: Clear the Use Email Address For Exchange Connection if you face the “'401’ Authorization'”error.

    Outgoing Mail Server(SMTP)

    Enter the host server address of the email account.

    Outgoing Server(SMTP) Port

    Enter the port number to send and receive emails.

    Use the types of encrypted connection

    Select the type of encryption when configuring a custom account. Ensure to acquire guidance from mail service provider for the same.

    Email Address

    Enter the email address for new incoming/outgoing mails.

    Password

    Enter the password of the email account.

    Update

    Select to update the email configuration settings.

    Test Email ID

    Enter the contact email address to receive the test mail notifications.

  5. If the test mail is successfully sent, then a message is displayed to indicate this.
  6. Select Update to update the email configuration settings. A confirmation message is displayed to indicate that the email configuration has been updated successfully.
