Assign Processes for Users/Groups

In this section, you can create a list of users and group of users to access various processes of Process Runner.

You can define a list of processes for each user/group.

Assigned_Ctrls_Assigned_Process

Add Processes for User/Group

Select Add in Assigned Processes for Users/Groups page to add new process to selected user or group.

When you select Add, a new screen is displayed.

  • Assigned Level: For assigning Processes, select a Group or particular User.
  • User/Group Name: Select a particular User/Group for assigning particular Processes.
  • Access Type: Select the option whether to "Allow" or "Block". Whichever option is selected; it's effect (Allow/Block) will be applicable on "Available" and "Assigned" section of Process Name.

 Example

Taking an example with following scenario as shown in the image below:

When the above settings will be saved, following will be the behavior:

  1. All the users of IT group will be able to access Change Material process from SAP system.
  2. All the users of IT group will not be able to access the fb60 process from SAP System.

Similarly if Access Type is set to Block in the above scenario; following will be the behavior:

  1. All the users of IT group will not be able to access Change Material process from SAP system.
  2. All the users of IT group will have access to fb60 process from SAP System.
  • Search: Type your search and select Search to find Processes defined in Master Control. All available Processes will be listed in a box above. Select appropriate Process and select Add to assign the selected Processes to selected Group/User. Finally select Save to save your settings.

Edit Processes for User/Group

Select the Editicon in Assigned Processes for Users/Groups to edit the processes for particular user/group.

When you select theEdit icon, a new screen is displayed as shown in the following screenshot.

Delete

Select the Delete iconto remove user/group from an assignment. Such a user/group is not allowed to access that particular process.
