Data at the Root Level is Invalid, Line 1 Position 1 Error
Symptom
Sometimes, the following error message is displayed.
PW:4 ProR Excel Add-in message.
Error while open Process file: Data at the root level is invalid. Line 1, Position 1.
Cause
After installing Process Runner Enterprise, if an existing Process file (created using Process Runner 2008 version 4.20.132.21677 or earlier) is opened with Process Runner Enterprise, the Process file is upgraded and compressed. Thereafter, the Process file reflects compatibility error when opened in Process Runner Excel Add-in version 4.30.117.35490 or earlier.
Solution
Perform the following steps:
- Please create a support case on Salesforce for the link that contains the latest version of Process Runner.
- If you do not want to upgrade the Process Runner version for all users, perform the steps described in Process Runner documentation.
