Prevent Process Runner, Process Runner DB Access with Custom Type Schedules

A user or user group associated with a custom schedule can access the assigned Process file or SAP system only during the time defined in the custom schedule. Similarly, you can also use a custom schedule to block the access for the assigned Process file or SAP system. If you delete the custom schedule associated with a user or user group, the user or user group is blocked and cannot access the Process file or SAP system through Process Runner or Process Runner DB.

When a custom schedule is assigned to a Process file or an SAP system, the user or user group can access the Process file or SAP system with Process Runner or Process Runner DB only during the time defined in the custom schedule. If you delete the custom schedule associated with a Process file or SAP system, the Process file or SAP system is blocked, and the users and user groups cannot access them through Process Runner or Process Runner DB.

In this example, multiple schedules, one of which is a custom schedule Customtest, is assigned to testuser2.

To block a user having custom schedule,

  1.  Customtest is a custom schedule assigned to testuser2.

    One_time_Custom_new

  2. Delete Customtest. The Block Control Confirmation message appears.
  3. Select Ok. The testuser2 user is partially allowed because multiple schedules are assigned to it, which indicates that testuser2 can access the other Process files or SAP systems associated with the rest of the schedules assigned to it.

  4. Note: If only a single schedule is assigned to a user, the user is completely blocked, and cannot access Process Runner or Process Runner DB. To check the access type of the user, go to Master Controls > Users.
