SNC Library Path Issue
Symptom
When you try sign in to SAP using SNC (Secured Network Connection), the following error message might be displayed.
SNC file not found
Cause
SNC Library file is not available in the default path, or the environment variable is not set as required.
Solution
Perform the following steps:
- Open the command prompt, and run the SET command. The SNC Library name and its path are displayed. For example,
SNC_LIB_64=C:\Program File (x86)\SAP\SNCEncryption\x86\sapsncencryption.dll. - Navigate to the <SNC_LIB_64> path and ensure that the
sapsncencryption.dllfile is available. - If the
sapsncencryption.dllfile is not displayed, navigate to drive C and run Dir sapsncencryption.dll /s/a command. The path of the SNC Library is displayed. For example,Directory of C:\Program Files (x86)\SAP\SNCEncryption\x64. - Open Microsoft Excel, and select Process Runner tab.
- Select Tools > SAP Logon Management. The Connector for SAP window is displayed.
- On the Advanced tab, select browse icon of SNC Lib64 Path, and navigate to the <SNC_LIB_64> path.
- Open an Excel Add-in ready-to-run template, and select Run. The Process Runner Connector for SAP window is displayed.
- On Server/Group tab, select the target SAP system, and log on to the server.
