Manage Role Maintenance

Admin and users having access to Role Maintenance page can create the roles based on the different pages that would be available to the Innowera Control Panel site users. These roles are mainly for the site users to provide them accessibility to various pages.

Admin and users having access to Role Maintenance page can add/edit/delete the roles.

Role_Maint

System Administration, Security Administration, Control Panel Administration and Data Governance Administration are the default roles available in Innowera Control Panel.

  • System Administration role has access to all pages. This role cannot be edited and deleted by any user.
  • Security Administration role has access to only Manage Site User page and this role is not editable.
  • Control Panel Administration role has access to all pages except Role Maintenance and Manage Site User page.
  • Data Governance Administration role has access to only access to pages of Data Governance module.

Innowera Control Panel Administration and Data Governance Administration roles can be edited and deleted.  The role cannot be deleted if there are site users using that role. Site users cannot modify the settings of the role to which they belong. Security Administration role can be deleted if there are no site users under this role.

When upgrading from older version of Innowera Control Panel, roles based on the access to site users provided previously are created as " Roles-x"  in Role Maintenance page where x is the ID of the site user.

Add Role

Select Add to add role. Enter the role name and select the pages that will be accessible by this role.

Edit Role

Select Editedit to make the changes in the created role. Admin and users having access to Role Maintenance can edit the roles. Site users cannot modify the settings of the role to which they belong.

  • Created By: Displays the name of the user who created the role.
  • Created On: Displays the date and time when the role was added. The time displayed is as per user time zone setting.
  • Changed By: Displays the name of the user who updated the role.
  • Changed On: Displays the date and time when the role was last updated.The time displayed is as per user time zone setting.

Delete Role

Select Delete to delete the existing role. Role can only be deleted if there are no site users created under this role.

Copy Rule

This feature is used to add a new role with same attributes from existing roles.
