Configure Password Recovery Questions

This topic explains how you can set password recovery questions for your Innowera Control Panel instance, and recover your password using the questions and answers that you had saved. Also, these question and answers are user-defined and can be changed by the user later. Innowera Control Panel allows user to set two security questions.

Set Password Recovery Question

When you sign in to Innowera Control Panel, and the password recovery questions are not set under Account Settings, a message Your password self recovery questions needs to be maintained. Please do so or you may continue without maintaining them at this time is appears. Selecting Please do sotakes the user to Password Recovery Questions page. If the user selects continue, the message will no longer be displayed in the current session but when user logs out and logs back into Innowera Control Panel the message is again displayed to the user.

To set password recovery questions,

1. Select the drop-down menu for Question 1 and Question 2, enter your answers to these questions, select Save. Your password recovery questions and answers are saved.

   

2. Optionally, to write your own question, select Write my own Question, enter the answers, and then save the changes.

Recover Innowera Control Panel Password

You can retrieve your Innowera Control Panel credentials using the password recovery questions and answers that you had saved.

To recover yourInnowera Control Panel password,

1. On the Innowera Control Panel web application, select Forgot password?. The Password Recovery page appears.
2. Enter your username in Enter Username and select Submit. The password recovery question appears.

   

3. Enter the answers to your security questions and then select Submit. The Set New Password page appears.
4. Enter a new password in New password and enter it again in Confirm new password. After the passwords match in these two fields, select Save to save your new password.

   

5. Select Click here for login. The Innowera Control Panel web application appears. Sign in to the application with your new password.
