Configure Email Template

Email Template in Admin Settings section of Innowera Control Panel enables you to configure the email notification templates for access request of Process files and SAP systems. In Role Maintenance, you require the View permission for the Access to Custom Email Template option to view the email notification template and the Edit permission for the Access to Custom Email Template option to update the email notification template.

To edit an email notification template,

1. Go to Admin Settings > Email Template. The Email Template Configuration page appears.

   

2. Optionally, to view the existing text for an email notification template, select the view detail icon. The template text appears.

   

3. Select the edit icon associated with the email notification template that you want to edit. The Edit Email Template page appears. Alternatively, you can select the row of the template that you want to edit, and then select Edit.

   

4. In Template Subject and Template Body, edit the default text, and select Update. The email notification template gets updated.

   Note: The Click here link in the email notification takes the administrator to the Pending Approval page of your Innowera Control Panel instance.

5. Optionally, to update the default display text for the link, select the text in the email notification, select the insert link icon, and then enter #ICPURL# in URL. The display text for the link is updated.

   

6. Optionally, to configure an email address in the email notification template, select a word, select the insert link icon, select E-mail address, and then enter the email address and subject.

   

7. To test the changes made to template text, select Test. The Enter Constant Values section appears.
   1. In Enter Constant Values, enter the following details:
      • Request Type: Indicates whether the notification email is for a Process file or an SAP system. Enter PROCESS to update the notification email text for a process or SAP SYSTEM to update the template for an SAP system.
      • Request Object: Indicates the name of the Process file or SAP system that the Process Runner or Process Runner DB user is requesting for access.
      • Users Name: Indicates the name of the Process Runner or Process Runner DB user who is requesting access Process file or SAP system.
      • User Comment: Indicates the User Comment on the email notification.
      • Reminder Count: Indicates the count of the access request reminders. This option is available only in the Pending Approval Reminder email notification template.
   2. Select Preview. The preview of the notification message appears.

      

   3. To exit, select the close icon.
8. If you want to restore the default email notification template text, select Restore. Alternatively, go to the Email Template Configuration page, select the row of the template that you want to restore, and then select Restore.
9. Optionally, to restore the default email notification template text of both the templates on the Email Template page, select Restore all Default Email Template.
